Not Just for Tourists
Homer is not exactly a tourist town. All the best local haunts don’t close when summer ends and winter begins. That is when we are just getting warmed up, so to speak. Winter kings are in, eagles soar overhead and the moose wander town looking for those long-lost green shoots. With a more mild, coastal winter, Homer can be a welcome getaway to our fellow Alaskans and even “lower 48ers” who experience harsh winters.
The same is true at AWA. We are a year-round retreat, available to our guests and our community. We all know troubles don’t come seasonally and that harmony may be found any time of year.
Year-Round Retreats
Are you thinking about a long weekend to strengthen your marriage or family bond with an awesome visit to Homer included? Yes! We are open. If you would like a stay with us but don’t see a package for the dates you are available, please give us a call! Are you facing grief, a difficult situation or complex decision and would like a few sessions with a professional to help you work through it? We are available. These are only a few examples of the challenges you may be facing. One week of even our minimum package at one session per day with an intake on arrival and an exit upon departure, is equivalent to two months of counseling!
We are excited to offer an additional discount to our winter guests because our winter adventures are more limited, but the cabin is warm and cozy, the view is still spectacular and the counseling is still an amazing resource.
